Join us on Wednesday, June 12th 6:30-8pm at The Discovery Center for a sunset bird outing with Philly Queer Birders! We'll start with a leisurely walk on a grassy, flat path through the woods looking for nesting birds and summer residents such as Baltimore Orioles, Red-eyed Vireos, and Peewees.
As the sun starts to set, we'll make our way onto the water walk to view Chimney Swifts, a variety of swallows, and hopefully Common Nighthawks putting on their evening show! There will also be the option to birdwatch from the the observation tower. No registration is necessary. We'll meet at the entrance to the Discovery Center where there are restrooms, water fountains, and binoculars to share. There is plenty of car and bike parking in the lot and the center is close to several bus lines. Come celebrate pride with the birds! All are welcome!
