Celebrate the Delaware River Watershed With River Days

Philadelphia and the surrounding region are connected by a network of streams, creeks, and rivers that all drain into the Delaware River. This network is the Delaware River Watershed, and every year, the Alliance for Watershed Education, a group of 23 environmental centers across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware, holds the River Days festival. River Days is a multi-day and multi-destination festival, with a diverse schedule of events.

Most River Days events are free, and you don’t need a car to enjoy them. Head to Tacony Creek Park this weekend for the Tacony Creek Park Music and Arts Festival starting at 1pm. Then next weekend, come out for the annual Rubber Duck Race at 10am at Cobbs Creek Park.

River Days events are taking place until October 10th, and the easiest way to get there sustainably is by using the GoPhillyGo trip planner. Get easy walking, biking, and transit directions to River Days and other events with the GoPhillyGo Android app and mobile website. It’s easy, and every time you plan a trip on GoPhillyGo, you help reduce air pollution. Show your commitment to the environment and plan a sustainable trip to River Days events with GoPhillyGo.
