Cool Off at the Free Library's New Play and Learn Areas

Libraries are great places to enjoy some air conditioning and lose yourself in a good book. Unfortunately, many people don’t always think of libraries as places to relax and have fun. The Philadelphia Free Library is changing that mentality with innovative programming at the Parkway Central Branch and adding “Play and Learn” areas to three city libraries to encourage a fun environment for kids to learn to love to read.

These libraries are valuable public spaces in the community and GoPhillyGo wants to get you there without a car. We’ve made links for directions to the Parkway Central Library and the three others with new “Play and Learn” areas. All you have to do is click the link and insert you current location in our trip planner and GoPhillyGo will show you the safest route to these great destinations!
