GoPhillyGo can help you plan a trip to the Jersey Shore!
Did you know that GoPhillyGo can get you to the Jersey Shore this summer without a car? It’s easy, costs less, and lets you get there sustainably. Traffic, tolls, gas, and finding parking are all factors that will lighten your wallet and cost you precious beach time.
Atlantic City is the easiest beach to get to with direct connection to 30th St Station via the NJ Transit Atlantic City Rail Line. This train runs at roughly two-hour intervals with a blackout period overnight. You can also take PATCO and connect to the AC Line at the Lindenwald Station. Your round trip ticket from 30th Street will cost you $21.50 and the ride is just over an hour and a half.
You can also catch NJ Transit buses at the Greyhound Station at 8th and Filbert Streets in Center City. Route 315 gives you access to most of the beaches south of Atlantic City without having to transfer. The ride will take a few hours, but there is an express 315 bus that bypasses some of the closer beaches before ending in Cape May.
It’s easy to purchase tickets on the NJ Transit App. Once you’ve purchased your ticket, activate it when you see the bus coming and show the activated ticket to the bus driver as you board. Fares vary by zone.
