Test your Cupid Skills at a pop up Archery range and more this Valentine's Day!

Take the time to do something different this year and make a memory that will last a lifetime. Hike along the Wissahickon Creek to work up your appetite before the romantic dinner you have planned. Learn about the mating habits of aquatic life on an adults-only behind the scenes tour of the Adventure Aquarium complete with dinner and drinks, or be like Cupid and test out your archery skills at John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge’s pop up archery range.

That’s A-Moray-Adventure Aquarium

This special adults-only event returns to the Adventure Aquarium and highlights the “wet and wild” mating habits of the sea animals that live there. Visitors can spend a romantic evening with sharks, stingrays, and other aquatic creatures. Your ticket gets you two drinks, buffet dinner and desert, special “touch” exhibits and a behind the scenes look at the Aquarium’s signature exhibit “Ocean Realm.” A cash bar will also be open. Sweetheart of a Hike

Take a hike with your partner through Philadelphia’s gorgeous Wissahickon Valley Park. Meet at the Friends of the Wissahickon kiosk at 4900 Ridge Avenue across from the Wissahickon Transportation Center, then explore the park on a 3.5 mile round trip hike. Participants will pass below the unique rock outcropping known as “Lover’s Leap,” and wind their way along the creek and through forests. Registration is suggested. Click here to register. Cupid’s Arrow JHNWR

Take a long romantic hike through John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge then stop by their pop-up archery range between 4pm and 6pm. Visitors will get a tutorial on the basics of archery from US Certified archery instructors, then have a chance to be like Cupid and hit a target with an arrow. All equipment is provided and this event is free to anyone ages 8 and up. Click here for directions to the JHNWR Visitor Center.


Starting or ending your night with a visit (and selfie) in front of the iconic LOVE statue is a perfect way to get you in the spirit of Valentine’s Day. We also encourage you to walk a few blocks to the AMOR statue at 18th and Race Streets. Both are accessible to multiple SEPTA routes and near many other great destinations in Center City! Sweetheart Skate Dilworth Park

Bring your partner to Dilworth Park’s Sweetheart Skate from 4pm to 8pm and get buy one get one free admission. Warm up with a hot cocktails and delicious food inside the Rothman Orthopaedics Cabin next to the skating rink. Dilworth Park is accessible from many SEPTA routes including the Market-Frankford El, Broad Street Subway, and all Regional Rail trains from Suburban Station. Click here for directions!

Valentine’s Day Tours-Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens

Take a private candlelit tour of the indoor galleries and labyrinth at Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens. Learn about the love story of artist Isaiah Zagar and his wife Julia and how their love continues to influence his art. The outdoor sculpture will be open if weather permits and your admission comes with a glass of wine for you to sip as you explore this incredible space. Reservations are required.
