Fox Chase Farm and Lorimer Park Trail
Fox Chase Farm is a working educational farm founded by the Fairmount Parks Commission and currently operated by the Philadelphia School District to teach young people the value of agriculture. The farm is only open to the public for select events during the year, but you can hike on a gorgeous wooded trail that hugs the Pennypack Creek. Head north, and Lorimer Park is only a short distance from the farm. Head south and you will find the entrance to the Pennypack Trail which has a paved connection across Northeast Philadelphia to the Delaware River.
