Langley Ave. & S 26th Street

Head towards the lift bridge on 26th Street. This lift bridge was a key development in the pre-WWII Navy Yard because it allowed direct access by rail or vehicle to the western section of the Yard and reduced congestion on Broad Street. This meant that the Navy Yard could expand and support production in war times.
