Join Hissey Park for Love Your Park Fall Service Day 2021.
We will be cleaning the park grounds by picking up trash in and right outside the park. There might be needles to pick up so we will be cleaning up the needles also.
Please take precautions when cleaning up or gardening in our parks, and take precautions when handling sharps or working in an area where sharps may be present. Read more here: Sharps Disposal Safety Guide and here are some additional tips:
- Always wash hands with soap and water after contact with soil.
- Wear Rubber Gloves, not thin latex doctor’s gloves, they offer more protection than cloth gloves.
- Always look first before putting your hands into the soil. If there are hazards remove them with a shovel.
