John Collins Park
John Collins Park is a tiny space tucked in a lot the size of a store front along Chestnut street between 17th and 18th. It’s small in size, but this oasis is packed with sculptures, trees, tables and benches for you to relax, eat lunch, or just to stop to enjoy a moment away from the hustle and bustle of Center City. The park is named after pioneer landscape architect John Collins who was the founding chair of the Department of Landscape and Horticulture at Temple University where he taught until he retired in 1998.
