Albert Barnes spent a lifetime collecting works of art from world famous artists including Van Gogh, Renoir, Matisse and Picasso. Today, his collection is housed at the Barnes Foundation between 20th and 21st streets and the Ben Franklin Parkway (entrance on 20th St). You can view works Barnes collected throughout his life, as well as many traveling exhibits that challenge our visual literacy. The Barnes Foundation hosts many other member and public events throughout the year, and is within easy walking distance of all the other amazing museums along parkway.
